When Jesus withdrew for a brief period to the region of Tyre and Sidon, He met a woman in desperate need, for her little daughter was severely oppressed by a demon. Instead of immediately granting the woman’s request, Jesus acts and speaks in a way that seems strange, even offensive. In the end however, He extols the woman’s faith and grants her request.
