The man known as “the thief on the cross” is only found in a few verses, but his story is well-known. And it’s a beautiful story. A hardened and evil sinner found salvation with Jesus. But frequently, this story is used for one primary argument–to prove that baptism is not essential for salvation. Is that the lesson we should take from the thief’s story?
